State of Texas HUB Program Open Doors for Jabez Enterprise Group (JEGroup) as a HUB Vendor

Dallas, TX – February 2008 – Jabez Enterprise Group (JEGroup) has successfully met the established requirements to become a part of the Historically Underutilized Business (HUB) Program for the State of Texas.

The HUB Program emphasizes the efforts of corporation, sole proprietorship, partnership or joint venture profit making businesses to have a fair advantage to compete and fulfill business opportunities that may not be available otherwise.  The Program’s concept is similar to the National Supplier Development Council (NSDC) Program in that it requires a HUB vendor to be a minority (African American, Hispanic, Asian, Native American or American women) who own, operate, control and manage at least 51% of a profit-making business.

It is the goal of the State of Texas HUB Program to assure that Good Faith Efforts (GFEs) are met in procuring goods or services (including construction) when bidding on contracts by soliciting and partnering with HUB vendors.  It is expected that the following goals are met per fiscal year through these procurement opportunities:

To help meet the GFE compliance, all agencies, universities, companies or organizations are encouraged to validate HUB Certification prior to contact award.
