Kalani uses R&B, neo-soul, jazz, hip-hop; self-written gospel lyrics, and her powerful vocals to create

Kalani born and raised in Oakland, CA has been inspired by the late Phyllis Hyman, Angela Bofill,
Teena Marie, Donnie Hathaway and Stevie Wonder.  Her initial desire was to become an R&B singer
but later accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior and began singing in the church choir.  She has
showcased her CD at Kimball’s East, Oakland, CA,  Channel 26, Madalynn Peterson’s Gospel, and
